Hello from Honda HQ in Torrance, CA! The Rebel gets it’s 500 mile service, and I get a tour.
Can you(or perhaps one of your followers) recommend a good protective clothing brand for taller women? I’ve tried mens, but their stuff is just too boxy and huge.
Men’s clothing is going to be boxy and ill-fitting (and thus unsafe) because it’s made for the male chest and broad shoulder shape. You want your gear to fit snugly so that if you were to hit the ground, the armor within it can’t roll off of you and let your body contact pavement.
It’s hard to answer your question without more specific info on your size and shape. Are you tall and thin? Or tall and ‘proportionate’? European cuts (such as Dainese) is going to be built for thinner folks and therefore height won’t matter so much. Also, if you’re wearing gauntlet gloves and boots that go over your pants, you will be able to have a bit more discrepancy in length. Motorcycle jackets and riding pants should not be as long as you would generally wear your civvies.
