Mooneyes 2014
A couple weekends ago, the very next morning after I moved out of San Diego, we woke up at the buttcrack of dawn (seriously, we hit the road at 3am) for Mooneyes 2014 at the Irwindale Speedway. Arriving at about 5am, the event said sold out and we had hours before sunrise. Tons of vehicles trickled in over the course of the day… with some really exceptional motorcycles peppered throughout. Corinna Mantlo on her 1971 BSA Victor 250cc that she’ll be racing on behalf of the Miss-Fires with team Hell Bound and Down (site) at the Norra vintage Baja 500 this October in Mexico! Corinna does awesome motorcycle seat upholstery and also helps run Via Meccanica in Brooklyn, New York. She’s also the co-founder of the Motorcycle Film Festival! Ventura Beach Monster
