Went to a few antique and vintage shops today in Ventura… awesome stores and a couple scores. Rotations was by far my favorite, with the 50cc Indian minibike, vintage motorcycle stuff sprinkled throughout a bunch of other wares including old street signage and antique photos of women and motorcycles. I snagged an old pair of leather motorcycle pants there, and the owl business card holder at Time Bomb. Good stuff.
Making Stuff: Footpeg Coat Hook
Since I’m finally at the point where I can cut, weld, and grind metal… when I was inspired to make a coat hook this weekend, I did so. I can’t even describe how excited I am to finally be able to do some of the weird decor and art projects I’ve had on my mind for years. Helmets for Heroines on April 25th of 2014 in at Karmarama in London- celebrating lady riders and providing aid for those with Breast Cancer in need of care. Starts with a motorcycle ride through London, followed by an art show with beautiful helmets. In a male dominated world, The Gabriel Hounds want to celebrate women on two wheels.
