Bessie Stringfield fought for civil rights and equality by doing what she loved despite the struggles and danger that came with riding motorcycles.
If you’re in the design industry you’ve heard the term ‘photoshop tennis’. It’s a sort of game between bored graphic artists that starts with some sort of blank canvas and perhaps a theme. This piece was a collaboration between Maike Plenzke and Frederik Jurk, I suppose a sort of illustrator tennis. Frederik drew the motorcycle, Maike offered up sketches of the girl to choose from, polished it up, and Frederik drew the tshirt design.
