There are a ton of comments I could make on this photograph, but I think I’ll leave it at… This. Is. Awesome. Regardless of all else you have to admit a motorcycle cop doing a stoppie on his Police Issue BMW motorcycle is pretty fantastic. Note: The officer performed this demonstration on a closed course, was on his own time, received permission from the agency, and BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County covered the cost of a new rear tire (source).
How does one do a burn out on an AWD motorcycle? Simple, chain it to a big-ass post. Gregor Halenda, who I met on the photoshoot for the Silodrome + MotoLady Icon 1000 Akorp jacket review, teamed up with his studio partner Thomas Liggett to create this rather awesome video. Daniel Ross’ beat up frankenbike named “Electric Alice” outside Pokez Mexican restaurant in San Diego today… Daniel put this thing back together in three days. He found the chassis in a barn- hadn’t been registered in 30 years. After some swapping, it’s probably close to just as dangerous as the day it was first built.
