People, this is real- Volkswagen is talking about putting a Ducati 1199 Panigale engine in a car. While a base model fancy hybrid car called the XL1 will hit the Geneva convention, they’re now discussing an XL Sport model equipped with the aforementioned Panigale superquadro engine. I’ve been one-upped. Ren sent me this amazing photo- Honda CB400F in the back of a Honda Civic hatch. Now that’s a motorcycle in a car! I had to share a similar experience early last Summer. Picked up my first Bike from Seattle, brought it back to Vancouver, BC (Through customs) one sunny afternoon. Bungee cord to keep the hatch shut and used the rear & passenger seatbelts to keep it from shifting. Drained all fluids prior & layed down cardboard/garbage bags. Three people to get it in and two out. -Ren
How to Fit a Motorcycle in a Car
Yesterday I fit my entire Ducati Monster into my 2001 Honda Accord Coupe. Now, it wasn’t quite as ridiculous as this… but still pretty impressive. Yes, this really happened. You CAN fit a motorcycle in a car. This Yamaha Virago inside a Geo Metro proves it. Check out the original flickr post. (This isn’t quite as good as the sportbike in a Honda Civic, either…)
