Harley Chopper by Ian Ruhter Photography, wet plate collodion. Wet plate photography was incredibly popular in the 1850’s and replaced the old daguerrotype process. The camera that took this is at least 100 years old.

I posted the topmost image on the MotoLady facebook a few weeks back… comments are still kickin’. Many of which are doubting the real-ness of the custom bike. I want y’all to know… it’s not photoshop. It’s truly a custom chopper by Rick Fairless for an Allstate marketing campaign. The bike appeared on Auction Kings recently, and fetched close to $19k.
