The MotoLady 1 Year Anniversary Party
So, I showed up at about 7:20p to Slabtown in NW Portland. Shortly thereafter, the Icon boys showed up with their signature ratty custom bikes to park inside. I set out my helmets and got raffle tickets ready. About ten ‘til 8, people started showing. My friend Chris had just put 24 miles on his freshly purchased Ducati, so he parked it right next to the front door. The space is really quite awesome and full of games- ping pong, pin ball, darts, pop-a-shot, skee ball… plus a juke box, dj tables,… Continue Reading »
My friends over at Icon Motosports keep blowing my mind with their marketing and bad ass hooliganism. They killed it (yet again) with this f*cking epic moto vs car drift battle video. The first motorcycle vs car drift battle was pretty bad ass, but this… this just takes the cake. When I did the Icon shoot (photos coming soon), I drove out into the Colombia Gorge and met up with Nick ‘Apex’ Brocha and Ernie Vigil who had just shot this video the few days before. Needless to say they were exhausted,… Continue Reading »
Ryan Danger’s Custom Ducati Monster
A bike that suits my tastes very nicely… the 250cc 1965 Parilla Wildcat Scrambler. This 1965 Parilla Wildcat was made specifically for the US off-road market, when Parilla was one of several small Italian motorcycle manufacturers that thrived producing small-displacement motorcycles. This one is in survivor condition, and a scrambler model not often seen any more. (From Throttle Yard) Original ebay posting with tons of photos »
Hey MotoLady, I just bought my first bike and I’m trying to gear up the right way while still looking stylish. I’m in love with the Uglybro’s Twiggy and Ton-up pants but they’re made in Korea and kinda pricey. Know of anything great lady’s motorcycle pants sold in the states?
Bonjour! I actually got a pair of Icon Heartbreaker riding jeans with Kevlar reinforced knees a couple months ago and have worn them a lot (on and off the bike). I’ll be honest, I don’t think the photo they have does them justice. They’re boot cut stretchy jeans with thick knees, and they’re super flattering. Plus you could almost buy four pairs for the price of the Ugly Bro’s pants.
