This is my friend R, who is a motolady of epic proportions. She has (as far as I know) a somewhat cursed XT225, a slightly banged up SV650, a serious problem with staying rooted in one spot and successfully convincing strangers to let her rent their bikes. This photo was taken on her Yukon trip, which didn’t end so well – but in true badass motolady fashion, she’s still riding and currently planning her next motorcycle trip – the current plan being Australia and NZ. (Submission for rhodeskc) Thanks so much!

Lady L riding her 2009 Yamaha R6. Back seat perspective as well as from a bike following. Please note they are riding Highway 74 between Lake Elsinore and San Juan Capistrano. In my humble opinion, she is greatly exaggerating her leans in corners. It could be that she is going much faster and/or are more curved than they appear, but based on my own spacial recognition… The roads are not curvy enough, nor is she going fast enough, to require such extreme movement off the bike. It can be good practice, though! (Source: https://www.youtube.com/)

A crowd comes to the rescue of a motorcyclist trapped under a 4000lb burning car. This is the kind of thing our world needs. (Not the coppers standing around pointing at things, but actual citizens helping citizens.) The motorcyclist underwent surgery on Monday and is currently stable. Given that he was lacking any and all safety gear, it’s an understatement to say this rider is lucky to be alive. (Source: http://www.tumblr.com/)

Having good bike control is one of the most important parts of riding. I work every day to become this good or better. Taking basic rider training is only the first step in learning how to safely test your limits and acquire higher skill levels. (Source: http://www.tumblr.com/)
