The Monster Project: Phase 8
Last I posted, I was flimflamming about what kind of logo to put on the tank of the bike. The paint scheme was already all planned (thank you all for the suggestions, though) and I just needed to top it off with the right version of the Ducati logo for the mood of the bike.
I hate to sound ignorant but why did you call them squids? Back in high school 20 years ago in my part of town squids were the people they call goth today. Ps. Your blog is awesome!
No worries, we can’t all be on the up and up with these confangled new terms. Squid is used when talking about an inexperienced rider. Generally the term came from the fact that squids go fast in a straight line but are slow around corners. They generally think themselves invincible, and don’t wear proper protection. The definition according to the oh-so-reputable Urban Dictionary: A young motorcyclist who overestimates his abilities, boasts of his riding skills when in reality he has none. motolady! What brand are those cool boots? And where did you get them?
I assume you mean these ones? I’ve got 3 pairs of “fav” boots and, as of yesterday I’ve got one more! These were an ebay find, after wanting tall boots with ONLY buckles- I’ve had too many zippers fail and shoelaces break. I searched for about 3 hours straight, searching the depths of ebay for the right boots. I saw these for $35- the size was marked as “5” listed as Motocross boots. I asked the guy how long they were in inches, he told me 10.5”. That is no where near… Continue Reading »

The tank is now in progress. Strip that shit! (Work being done by Jeff Yarrington from Saint Motor Company) In the words of Wiz Khalifa… BLACK AND YELLOW BLACK AND YELLOW. Kinda looks nice all metal. And now onto the choices… A little mash up I threw together. Or, good ol’ classic.. I think I know where I’m going with this now.
