Picked up my not so new 1978 Honda 125! Woot!
Even when you’re on a group ride, it’s still just you and the bike on the road. Even two up you’re the only one inside your helmet. Yet, we’re all (kinda) one big family. Robert Fullum, friend of mine and Instructor for Team Oregon Makes you wonder if the solitude is part of what brings us together? Like lone wolves crossing paths in the forest.
While I’m finishing the Monster, I’ve had a lot of things rattling around in my brain for this Rust Bucket / BSA Project of mine. Firstly, I found out it’s a 1958 BSA A7 or A10. The difference being the exact model and either 500 or 650cc (thanks to everyone who corrected my typo). I’m stoked to know it’s about 7 years older than I thought and pre-1960s! So cool. The work of Redding, CA based photographer Garrett Meyers speaks volumes with silence. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. This may be true, but one has to believe that those thousand words are composed much more clearly and with much more verbose descriptions by photographers with heavy talent as opposed to hobbyists who lack the je ne sais quoi the it takes to create captivating images.
