I’m so excited to announce the project that I’ve been working on for two years… a book all about badass motorcycling women! In the MotoLady’s Book of Women Who Ride you’ll meet 74 of the most influencial motorcyclists of the last century. Motorcycle heroes, trailblazers, and record-breakers like Jessi Combs, Shayna Texter, Laia Sanz, Gloria Tramontin-Struck, the Van Buren sisters, and more can be found inside the 184 pages of this hard cover book celebrating motorcycling women!
Michelle’s Custom GS450 Cafe Racer
Michelle is a lady rider and cafe racer enthusiast from South Africa.
Her gorgeous custom 1980 Suzuki cafe racer was built by Custom Worx (website) in 2012, later acquired by V Custom Cycles- a custom bike shop located in Centurion, Gauteng.
The classic lines of the cafe racer design with the powdercoated stock GS wheels is just fantastic.
Michelle was happy with the performance of the bike before taking it to Custom Worx for a revamp. Clip ons, a shortened tail, matte pearl white paint job and red racing stripe are a few of the details.
She added Steve McQueen’s old racing number 278 to the tail and her helmet, an ode to the king of cool.
