Many tracks didn’t allow women to race in the 1950s, which makes these five women icons and pioneers in motorcycle racing.
Jen McLain, Tara Henry, and Lindsay Merkle are captured riding some of the beautiful roads in Southern California by photographer Jon Cossentine.
Jennifer, in the custom Bell Bullitt flower helmet, is riding a Kawasaki W650 which looks a lot like a modern Bonneville but is in fact, not. (Well I suppose that’s sort of an obvious statement at this point) Tara rides the Harley, and Lindsay is on her Triumph Thruxton.
Thanks Lindsay for sending me the rad pic!
