“Sorry Officer, I thought you wanted to race.” might be hilarious, but it’ll probably just get you a one way ticket to booking. I can see a cop or two being so tickled that they let you go, though. Try it and let me know where it gets you!
Or just watch this video of a motorcyclist asking a motocop if he wants to race. “IS THAT A HONDA?! Oh, no… it’s a BMW. Says so right there.” (Don’t get mad at me if you watch the entire video and can’t get the last 8 minutes of your life back. The first minute suffices.)
