Dirt Quake USA took place in Castle Rock, WA this weekend- a small town about an hour away from Portland. Photos are popping up all over instagram and this is already by far one of my favorites… Davin (aka MotoGuru) from Icon Motosports at the starting line on his Brammo with knobbies named ‘Sprinkles’. The tassles are the cherry on top for sure.

This spherical wheeled motorcycle was posted to Gizmodo with the comment- Besides an eco-friendly electric drivetrain, the bike’s spherical drive system is promised to be safer than a traditional motorcycle since the front wheel can’t suddenly turn sideways and jackknife, leading to a crash. Brammo came by MotoCorsa to give the crew some demo rides on their electric motorcycles- namely the Brammo Empulse R. (Don’t mind the censored jacket blurryness- I couldn’t very well show you Icon’s Spring 2013 line this early, now could I?!) Zero Motorcycles (cool electric motorcycle company) came through MotoCorsa (the awesome Ducati dealership I work at) today to show off their stuff. I got to test ride the Zero S, one of the more powerful models… it was fun, zippy, and wasn’t rickety at 70mph as you’d expect from something so light and quiet. Whirrrrrrrzzzzt!
