Ten of my favorite photos from last weekend’s 2013 Touratech Adventure Motorcycle Rally. While I gather all the other photos from the event and photographers, I wanted to share some of the highlights for me. From top to bottom, left to right. Some select photos from the 2013 Touratech Adventure Motorcycle Rally this weekend in Plain, WA (Wenatchee County). It was a real treat to really ride off road for the first time, and on a capable bike such as the Husqvarna 650 Terra. Furthermore… how fortunate I was to have photographers on one of our rides to get these shots! (Photos 1,2,4 by Carl Parker of Adventure Motorcycle Magazine, photo 3 by Nathan Slabaugh.) Many more photos (and a full article) from the rally soon!
If you’re in the Pacific Northwest, your chance to see Lanakila MacNaughton’s beautiful photography in person is almost here! The Women’s Motorcycle Exhibit gallery opening party is from 8-10p July 12, 2013 at See See Motorcycles in Portland, OR. Lana’s work is really special- she uses an old medium format camera (that’s right, it’s film) to capture real women who ride in essence. Her subjects often seem to embody freedom at it’s finest, one with their machines as much as they are their surroundings. womensmotoexhibit.com » [ see photos feat. Lanakila MacNaughton on ML]
Another moto advertisement up for best of the year… “The 2000 Yamaha Razz. Can’t handle it? Well, close your browser, head over to a used car lot and buy yourself a minivan. Give the keys to little Timmy and let him drive himself to soccer practice. You don’t belong at the helm of a vehicle.” [VIEW FULL SIZE] Check out the ad on the seattle.craigslist.com while it’s still there » [ more nominees for ‘best ad of the year’ ]
