Stories of Stories of Bike. The entire saga of FASTER, the MotoLady + Monster story, season 3 premiere of Stories of Bike from Cam Elkins.
In October of 2017, at the beginning of my Horizon Tour road trip, I was invited to stop by Honda HQ in Torrance, California! The Rebel and I felt like VIPs- it got its 500-mile service, and I grabbed lunch with some of the marketing crew.
People always ask me if I really like my little Honda Rebel 300, and the answer is YES! Especially after putting the Wolfman Luggage bags on it– it’s like a mini bagger. It’s lightweight, easy to ride in traffic, relatively easy in the dirt, good-looking, and people ask me about it all every time I’m on it. You wouldn’t believe the head turns this little thing gets!
It’s funny that I used to live in Torrance and never got to check out Honda HQ. Now that I’ve left California and am heading out on an epic road trip to live out of my truck… boom, here I am. I set the address in my phone’s GPS and headed off. I only got a little lost in the large grid of industrial buildings once, and indeed, I was somewhere in the Honda HQ vicinity at that point. The Rebel rolled over 500 miles, half a block from my destination, so I pulled over to take a quick pic. What perfect timing.
Rolling into the main Honda building was exciting, to say the least. It’s a huge property spanning multiple structures that reach across city blocks. I was fortunate enough to be given a tour– much of which was walking across large parking lots. Being invited to visit Honda and get a looksee at their service department during the first few weeks of this big road trip was really great. I feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity! Thank you, especially to Tony, for everything.
